Happy New Year’s Eve!! Tomorrow we’ll be starting a BRAND NEW YEAR. Today I want to look back through 2017 to see how far we’ve come and then look ahead to figure out where we want to go. So we’re going to reminisce and strategize! Just Keep it Simple Fitness has been a dream come true, and I’m so thankful you’ve been here to share it with me.
First of all, I want to say THANKS! To you, my readers – thank you! I appreciate every read, comment, follow, and subscription. You have no idea what it means to me that we’re on this journey together! I’m so glad you share my mindset that fitness can be simple. Here, we stick to the basics and see results. Simple as that.
Reminisce – 2017
Just Keep it Simple Fitness has become a place for me to share healthy tips with you, from getting enough protein, or water in your diet, to do you really need a personal trainer? I want you make informed decisions and live healthier, but do so without spending a ton of money, without complicating things, and without missing out on any of the fun. Give you the information you need and then let you make your own decisions!
I’ve loved creating workouts for you that can be done right at home with barely any equipment. It’s important for you to know that you don’t need a fancy gym membership to get fit. That doesn’t mean they aren’t great places to workout. But due to circumstances such as gymtimidation (a real thing), time, kids, money, location, or whatever else, a home gym is doable! And not as expensive as you think. You only need a few key pieces, and you’re all set. Writing my workouts of the month and taking the pictures are truly fun! I look forward to challenging you every single month!
I haven’t created a ton of recipes for you to try. But I have loved the responses I’ve gotten on my overnight oats, both banana and chocolate, the energy bites (still my absolute favorite snack, I even got a few of my husband’s co-workers on the energy bite wagon!), and my son’s favorite muffins! A favorite of mine though, is to find other amazing recipes for you to try. Knowing I’m not 5 star chef in the kitchen, I won’t try to compete with those that are. Instead, I can round up a great list and share it with you!
Those three items, healthy lifestyle tips, step by step workouts, and clean eating recipes, have become my tagline and my focus. Every article I write, I make sure to follow one of those three. My entire goal is to show you that living a healthy life can be SIMPLE! And fun of course 🙂
In addition to writing articles for you, this year has been a whirlwind of trying to learn all the ins and outs of bloggings, social media, and so much more. All those behind the scenes things. My favorite part is writing the content. That’s the easy part! The hard part is spreading the word, getting my voice out there. That’s where I’d love for your help. If you enjoy reading my posts and connect with my ideas on keeping fitness simple, help me spread it! Join me on social media through Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. Invite your friends and family who you think would love it! Let’s grow this community.
Strategize – 2018
Looking ahead for 2018. I’m SUPER exciting for this coming year! I will hopefully have more time to commit to this because I’ll be going part time at my day job! There’s a few big projects I’m working on and I can’t wait to share them with you 🙂
The first one is my 12 Week Workout Program! I have worked so hard to create a 12 week program that focuses on lifting and cardio. Upper body, lower body, and total body workouts that only require a set of dumbbells and some space! A few friends of mine have been trialing it these last few weeks and I can’t wait for it to go live! You’ll get the program which includes pictures and descriptions for each workout, and a detailed schedule to follow the whole time. Plus, we’ve got a great accountability group on Facebook you’ll get to join where you can actually see me perform the exercises in case the pictures aren’t enough, and connect with others going through the program as well! The cost for the entire package will be $30, which is a total steal compared to a gym membership!
The second big project I’m working on is a VERY big secret! So I can’t share it with you 🙂 But stay tuned, it’s going to be awesome!
I’m going to continue the workouts of the month because I love them so much. I’ll keep adding in recipes here and there like peanut butter chocolate chip cookies with no sugar and a chicken and rice crock pot stew, definitely some meal prepping too. And finally, I’ll throw in some tips and tricks like staying healthy without going broke and fitting in a workout around your busy schedule. Maybe I’ll include a few product reviews of fitness things I love too.
So now it’s your turn. What do you love and want to see more of this year? Shoot me an email at JustKISF@gmail.com or just add it to the comments! I want this to be all about you, and what YOU want to read!
I hope you all have an amazing New Year and can look back on your 2017 with gratitude and joy. Be safe. Be happy. And be healthy 🙂
